It has been a very busy period for us producing 4 major films for the Donkey Sanctuary.
We made the highly acclaimed EST promotional film. This portrayed the fantastic work being undertaken providing an excellent service bringing disabled children & donkeys together. This featured 2 particular stars, John a young boy with a big personality & Norman his trusty donkey for the day.
We have produced 2 further DVD’s on the subject of donkey care; these are proving invaluable in training & educating donkey owners exactly how to look after their donkeys.
Our greatest undertaking to date has been the Donkey Sanctuary 40 Years On film which we were commissioned to make. This year long project took Alan Tibbitts around the world as well as many parts the UK, witnessing first hand the incredible work being carried out in places such as Egypt & Spain. He worked closely with Dawn Vincent (Dr Svendsen’s granddaughter) & Amanda Gordon of the Donkey Sanctuary Press Office, building up a great working relationship in the making of these films. This DVD provides a definitive insight into the work of the world’s largest Donkey Sanctuary. Founded in 1969, it aims to prevent the suffering of donkeys & mules anywhere in the world. It features & is narrated by Dr Elisabeth Svendsen MBE. Alan said “On a personal level this has been an extremely fulfilling experience, it has been a privilege to have had the opportunity to produce such an enjoyable & rewarding film, at times it has been a very moving experience for me, I feel very proud of this film & I hope that I have done justice to such a worthwhile organisation.”
Here is a brief glimpse of this year’s première Wedding Show.
Videoex both exhibited & extensively filmed the whole event.
For those interested in the Catwalk performance, we have compiled with multi camera angles, a highly polished DVD. This can be purchased in its entirety for £10.00 or alternatively customised for the individual Bridal-ware suppliers, please ring to place your orders on 01392 832200.
Devon County Council Road Safety
Following on from the success of ‘Eco-safe driving – making a difference’ DVD,
DVX were commissioned to make a new & very different film.
‘Ashley’s Story’ – unique & dramatic glimpse into the life of a boy who made the biggest mistake of his life, at the vulnerable age of 15. He was encouraged to take a car journey that would dramatically change his life forever. After ‘getting in’ with the wrong crowd, taking drugs & alcohol, he was subsequently involved in a serious car accident. The injuries he sustained were considerable, with extensive brain damage, unable to walk or talk. For 2 years he was unable to communicate, although he understood everything around him. 10 years on he is wheel-chair bound, but miraculously he is now able to use a finger to artificially talk with the aid of a laptop.
The film is his emotional message to young people, along with the care & love of his Gran adding her poignant comments. Ashley says “I just wish someone had talked to me the way I’m talking to you. To have a wake-up call before you do anything as stupid as I did. For a few minute’s fun you could now be in the same position as me, FOR LIFE. I wish I could be a life-saver and tell you all to “Love your life as it is, and don’t F*** it up”.
The Road Safety team are delighted with the results we have produced, commenting on Alan’s sensitivity & caring approach he has given to this extremely difficult subject. They feel the impact of this film will have far-reaching implications in the education of young people.
